Valencia, Ajax and Chelsea appear to be locked in a three way battle for qualification from this Champions League group. As things stand, the three sides sit locked on seven points each, with the Dutch champions currently ahead on goal difference. Qualification for Lille is now almost impossible mathematically meaning the match-ups between the three sides on seven points now take on an extra importance in these final two matchdays.

Los Che started the campaign with a 0-1 win at Stamford Bridge in the reverse meeting between these sides, but followed that up with a heavy away defeat to Ajax and have since picked up four points from back-to-back matches against Lille. The Blues meanwhile bounced back well from that loss to the La Liga side by winning away at both Ajax and Lille before a stunning 4-4 home draw with de Godenzonen.

In the league, Celades’ men have struggled for consistency all season long and will have been disappointed with Saturday’s away defeat to Real Betis as it came just as they seemed to be gaining some momentum. For now though, their focus switches back to the Champions League and they’ll be desperate to pick up three points here at odds of 5/2 with bet365.

Few expected such a competent season from Chelsea this time around given that they lost star man Eden Hazard in the summer, had a transfer ban to compete with and hired a relatively inexperienced manager in Frank Lampard.
