Uruguay vs Panama Match Preview
Uruguay host Panama for their friendly clash this weekend looking to build on a two-match winning streak and further pick their team spirits up ahead of Copa America, after beating Uzbekistan (3-0) and Thailand (0-4) in two China Cup outings in late March.
La Celeste have seen goals coming from all directions as Christian Stuani led the attacking line with three goals in two March outings, which will see the competition for the spots up front fierce as Suarez and Cavani mark their return to the side. We thus hope to see them in great shape and it will be hard to deny them on the day too.
Panama have, on the other hand, seen their tenth loss in 12 outings as Colombia (3-0) beat them on Tuesday with goals from William Tesillo, Luis Muriel, and Radamel Falcao. They have held Brazil to a 1-1 draw and will now want more, but getting it against the in-form rivals should prove just as tough now.
Los Canaleros have struggled to score goals on the road too and this will be just as worrying as Uruguay’s great goalscoring records, having failed to find the net on three of the last four trips. We thus don’t see them making it on the scoresheet now either as this turns into a very one-sided contest.
We will thus back Uruguay to a convincing win, where sticking with them to win and Over 2.5 Goals FT looks like more of a banker bet at 8/15 with Paddy Power. We’ve seen them furious up front and hope they can keep it up now as well.
With Panama’s already mentioned woes in the final third, we’re now also going for Uruguay to keep a clean sheet at 1/2 with William Hill – which has also been rated banker material by many in the know already.
