Udinese host SPAL for their Matchday 37 clash on Saturday afternoon desperate for points as they sit in the danger zone with 17th placed Genoa sitting a point behind and a two-point gap to the 18th placed Empoli, as they look to secure top-flight survival in a thriller chase.

Bianconeri have just ended a five-match winless streak with a great 1-3 win at Frosinone, where first-half goals from Okaka and Samir brought all three points. They have been a very tough nut to crack at Dacia Arena and we now expect them very motivated to show it off once again.

SPAL have, on the other hand, been in great shape since mid-March and they’ve secured survival with 19 of their 42 points earned in the last nine outings – with just losses to Cagliari (2-1) and Napoli (1-2) seen along the way.

Leonardo Semplici will be more worried that the Partenopei only just ended their unbeaten streak and he’ll surely want his men to recuperate, despite no high stakes for them late in the campaign, as they build on solid head-to-head records against Udinese.

We do feel Udinese have a lot more to play for at this point, though, and we’ll thus stick with a Home win at 8/15 with bet365. We have seen them perform at this ground and connect an eight-match unbeaten streak behind them, which has us going for more of the same.
