Tunisia vs Cameroon Match Preview

Tunisia host Cameroon for their Friendly clash on Saturday evening looking for their first-ever win over the rivals in need of a pick-me-up ahead of their African Nations Championship clash at Libya, where they take a one-goal lead on the back of a 1-0 home win earned in September.

Eagles of Carthage have struggled for consistency and this came very obvious in the final third, where they found it hard to really capitalize on a tough defensive line which let in just four goals in six games and kept three clean sheets along the way. They came inches close to an Africa Cup of Nations Final in July and this could be behind their struggles to bounce.

Cameroon have proven themselves a very tough side for Tunisia to handle and they hope to do the same at Stade Olympique de Rades. However, they’ve been far from their best lately too and have a lot to prove – after seeing an 8th Finals exit in Egypt and just over three months of a break since.

Eric Choupo-Moting will be leading the attacking line, which has had struggles of their own and failed to find the net in two of their four outings at Africa Cup of Nations. Netting two against Nigeria (3-2 loss) wasn’t enough and we feel finding back the stability at the back will be just as important.

While we do expect a strong challenge, we don’t really see them snatching anything from the fixture in Rades and we’ll now rather stick with Tunisia to bag an important win for them – which comes at 7/5 with Unibet and looks like good value at this point.

We do expect a very narrow occasion and with that in mind, we feel that going for a narrow contest with few goals comes as a solid approach by itself. We’ll thus also go for Under 2.5 Goals FT at 7/10 with 22bet and hope for a compact defensive setup on both ends.
