Toulouse vs PSG Match Preview
PSG travel to Toulouse for their Matchday 30 clash with a 20-point gap in the bag at the top of the table, looking to build on their great winning streak only interrupted in a troubled Champions League display against Man United (1-3) – with ten wins also on the records in the last 11 outings across competitions.
Parisians take on the unpredictable rivals without Neymar or Edinson Cavani in the ranks but we’ve still seen them impress in the final third, as Angel Di Maria led the in-form line to high-scoring wins over Dijon (0-4) and Marseille (3-1). Thomas Tuchel will now want more and we expect them in a great mood at Stadium de Toulouse as well.
Toulouse come into the match after holding Nice to a 1-1 draw ahead of the International break, as Ndombe Mubele found a very late equalizer at Allianz Riviera, now hoping for a similar upset against the French dominants. However, they’ve struggled for any consistency and failed to connect any two same results since losses to Monaco (2-1) and Nantes (2-0) in early February, which will feel more worrying.
Les Pitchouns have been tougher to beat here but should now be in for the toughest challenge this term, largely struggling to impress against PSG lately. They’ve seen just a 1-0 loss at Parc des Princes earlier this term, though, and will now want to put on a similar challenge in Toulouse.
We don’t see them snatching any points, though, and we’ll now rather stick with PSG to win to Nil at 11/10 with William Hill – which feels like great value seeing their defensive displays of recent and seven clean sheets in 11 outings across competitions.
We have seen Angel Di Maria take his chance to shine and score six goals in his last six appearances, which has us hoping to see him leading the line again and backing the Argentinean winger to find the net anytime on the day – at an eye-catching 9/5 with Paddy Power at this point.
