Tottenham vs Wolves Match Preview
Tottenham have seen disappointing losses to RB Leipzig (0-1) and Chelsea (2-1) last week, which put them behind in a chase for a Champions League Quarter-finals ticket as well as the Premier League top 4. They now host Wolves desperate to bounce and end the unwanted streak with another confident display in front of the home fans.
Indeed, Spurs saw a streak of four home wins in a row ended by the German rivals, after beating Middlesbrough (2-1), Norwich (2-1), Man City (2-0), and Southampton (3-2) since mid-January. Jose Mourinho will hope they can rediscover such form and we expect his men very motivated to make it happen.
Wolves will be no easy targets, though, and while they’ve seen a four-match unbeaten streak ended at Espanyol (3-2), it still proved enough to make their way to the next round on the back of a 4-0 home win. They have been scoring numbers of goals lately and will surely want to build on such records despite struggles for consistency on the road.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s men earned just one win in six away games since late December, suffering four losses and only seeing a goalless draw at Man United along the way. They will need more if they’re to keep up with the top 4 and with a more lenient schedule to follow, many rate their chances to do so good.
We don’t see them doing so at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, though, and we’ll now rather stick with Spurs to secure all three points on the day. We’ll go for a Home win at 29/20 with bet365, which seems like great value despite a tough challenge we expect.
We should be in for thrills and with the Spurs’ struggles to keep clean sheets at this ground, we feel they’ll have to outgun Wolves if they’re to bag the points. We’ll thus also go for a high-scoring occasion and back Over 2.5 Goals FT, which comes at 13/10 with BetVictor.
