Tottenham Hotspur have never reached the final of this competition before. Having been a mid-table side at best for the majority of the Premier League era, Spurs have started to really grow as a club since the arrival of Mauricio Pochettino and although they’re yet to win a trophy under the Argentinian boss, they have now secured four consecutive top four finishes in the Premier League and earlier in this campaign moved into their incredible new stadium to boot.

Having picked up just one point from their opening three games in the group stages, the Lilywhites have achieved minor miracles in reaching the final of the competition, somehow coming back from the dead in the group before stunning wins over Borussia Dortmund, Manchester City and Ajax in the knock-out stages. League form has been shaky at best but can Spurs replicate that second-half display from Amsterdam to win out here at 16/5 with BetHard

Liverpool on the other hand have a rather illustrious history in this competition. They may not have won their final against Real Madrid last year, but the Merseyside club have won the competition on no fewer than five occasions in the past. It’s been a desperately unfortunate campaign in the Premier League for the Reds too as they became the team to finish second in the Premier League table with the highest points tally, losing only one of their 38 league fixtures.

Having not yet won a trophy under their popular manager Jurgen Klopp, much like Spurs under Pochettino, this final provides the perfect opportunity to get that first trophy under their belts in the German’s reign. After a stunning comeback win over Barcelona in the semi-finals, following victories over the likes of Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain earlier in the competition, they may feel a win here is likely at odds of 20/21 with BetHard.

The Reds won out in both of their Premier League meetings with Spurs this season, although the Lilywhites did get on the scoresheet in both games and with the attacking talent that they have on display here through the likes of Lucas Moura, Son Heung-Min and Harry Kane we expect them to at least get on the scoresheet in Madrid.
