Tottenham vs Huddersfield Match Preview

Tottenham Hotspur finally returned to form in the Premier League with a win over Crystal Palace in their long-awaited first match at their impressive new stadium last week. The Lilywhites had gone five league matches without a win and seen the gap between themselves and the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal close dramatically prior to that win over the Eagles but they’ll be hoping the return to N17 will give them the boost needed to finish the campaign on a high.

Prior to this Saturday’s fixture Mauricio Pochettino’s men will take on Manchester City in first leg of their Champions League quarter final and that could take some energy out of a squad that is thin on the ground with further injury problems at the moment. The North Londoners should still have enough quality to secure the win against bottom of the league Huddersfield though at odds of 1/7 with William Hill.

Huddersfield Town have not been able to follow up last year’s incredible achievement where they managed to remain in the Premier League. After that dramatic survival last year, the Terriers have struggled hugely and even broke the record for the earliest relegation from the Premier League as they sit rock bottom of the table with just 14 points on the board and just 19 goals scored in their 33 league matches so far this term.

German boss David Wagner was replaced with compatriot Jan Siewert half-way through the campaign but the former Borussia Dortmund II manager has been unable to get a tune out of a squad that’s low on quality and they make the trip to North London on Saturday on the back of ten defeats in their last 11 league outings.
