Tottenham Hotspur vs Norwich City Match Preview
Tottenham continue to struggle without injured Harry Kane leading the line, but they really should not drop points at home to bottom club Norwich.
With the England captain sidelined until April at least, Spurs are lacking Premier League goals and their 0-0 draw away to Watford at the weekend made it three consecutive blanks – and it could have been worse but for Troy Deeney missing a penalty for their opponents.
It has reached the stage where Jose Mourinho’s side need a goal, and a win, from anywhere as they try to push up towards the European qualification places, but at least facing Norwich offers a fine opportunity – even though the reverse fixture ended 2-2 just a few weeks ago.
Norwich won last time out 1-0 against Bournemouth, but they are a considerably better side at home as that is where 12 of their 17 Premier League points this term have been gained.
That success offered hope in their relegation battle, but frankly the Canaries have not produced anything like enough consistency throughout the campaign to suggest they can dig themselves out of trouble.
Nevertheless, apart from a 4-0 loss at Manchester United on their last road trip, Norwich have been more competitive of late and while they are certainly not expected to do anything but lose to Tottenham, they could put up a decent fight against their currently goal-shy hosts.
