Toronto FC vs Minnesota United Match Preview
Toronto have seen a thriller at Seattle Sounders (3-2) go the other way despite Jozy Altidore keeping up his red-hot streak paired with Alejandro Pozuelo early in the new campaign, ending their four-match unbeaten streak and now hosting Minnesota United looking for a quick fix.
Reds have been scoring numbers of goals on the regular as they beat Philadelphia Union (1-3), New England (3-2), New York City (4-0), and held Chicago Fire to a 2-2 draw along the way. Greg Vanney has obviously enjoyed an attacking approach early on and we now hope for more of the same.
Minnesota have, on the other hand, seen a couple of thriller of their own and we’ve seen them beat New York Red Bulls (1-2) and hold New York City to a 3-3 draw since early April. They’ve been scoring and conceding numbers of goals and this adds to our belief we’re in for a very exciting game of football here.
Loons have both scored an conceded in all of their last four outings and although they can boast no consistency, we feel they’ll be very motivated at BMO Field as well. They’ve seen a 3-2 loss on their only trip here in May 2017 but would surely rather build on a thriller 4-3 win over the rivals seen in front of the home fans last year.
We do feel we’re in for a great challenge but Toronto should have what it takes to hold off the unpredictable visitors, as we back them to bag all three points and bounce back to their rock-solid streak now already.
Still, we should be in for goals and sticking with such a scenario with a high-scoring contest and Over 2.5 Goals FT should feel like a banker bet. We’ve seen both sides play for an extra goal early in the new campaign and this feels like further evidence for such an approach.
