Torino have been very unpredictable this term and sit five points behind the top 6 after 18 Serie A games played, leaping to 9th placed with a shock win at Roma (0-2) on Sunday where Andrea Belotti’s brace proved enough for all three points. They have struggled for such consistency at the back and will now hope to build on the performance.

Toro have seen a thriller 3-3 draw at Hellas Verona and struggled to bounce from a comeback seen at Marc’Antonio Bentegodi Stadium, suffering a 1-2 loss to SPAL ahead of the break. They have still seen just one loss in five games and Walter Mazzari should have no troubles lifting their team spirits.

Genoa have seen a weekend delight of their own as they beat Sassuolo (2-1) with a late winner from Goran Pandev, who thus built on a wonder goal scored against Lecce (2-2). They bounced from a streak of two losses after seeing Sampdoria (0-1) and Inter Milan (4-0) snatch the points, which gives them a lot to build on.

Indeed, Rossoblu will be desperate for a Cup pick-me-up which could mean important energy much needed in the dressing room, as Davide Nicola makes an immediate impact. They should be in a good mood but we feel the visitors are in for a great challenge at Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino.
