Torino vs AC Milan Match Preview
AC Milan travel to Turin for their Matchday 34 clash on Sunday evening looking to recuperate quickly from an underwhelming Coppa Italia display and a semi-finals exit in the hands of Lazio (0-1), where a single goal from Joaquin Correa proved enough despite Pepe Reina doing great between the posts.
Rossoneri have beaten Lazio (1-0) in Serie A beforehand and were somewhat surprisingly denied in a 1-1 draw at Parma, still keeping hold of a top 4 spot but with at least four sides breathing down their necks. Gennaro Gattuso has to find a cure and do it quickly but reintroducing Lucas Paqueta who moved past his injury could see them creating more chances.
Torino sit just three points behind the rivals and the points here come as a must if they’re to keep up, with a rather tough schedule late in the campaign. They’ve beaten Genoa (0-1) with a single goal from Cristian Ansaldi and Walter Mazzarri will now want to build on such a display – as well as their five-match unbeaten streak.
Toro have seen draws against Fiorentina (1-1), Parma (0-0), Cagliari (1-1), and a single win over Sampdoria (2-1) along the way, proving themselves as a very tough side to beat at Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino time and time again. They have seen troubles against the big guns but many question whether Milan can show off as such now.
We do feel they have what it takes and we’ll now stick our necks out for the visitors to snatch all three points and make an important step towards the Champions League here, where an Away win comes at an eye-catching 17/10 with William Hill.
However, we don’t see them doing so without a thriller and we do feel Torino will be able to find the net – something they haven’t failed to do since January. We’ll thus also go for a Yes on Both teams to score and back such a claim at Evens with William Hill too.
