Switzerland host Georgia for their Matchday 9 EURO 2020 Qualifiers clash desperate to use the game in hand and jump the Group D pace-setters Republic of Ireland, who now sit a point in the clear together with 2nd placed Denmark. They beat the Boys in Green in Carouge in October and will now surely be very motivated to capitalize.

Swiss Nati have been a lot tougher at home ground and the 4-0 win over Gibraltar also saw them put on a great defensive setup. They have struggled for real consistency through the campaign but will have ground to build on in front of the home fans, with a 0-2 win in Georgia just as much of a boost to the fans’ hype.

Georgia have proven themselves a tougher nut to crack more recently and we’ve seen them hold off Denmark (0-0) and Republic of Ireland (0-0) before beating Gibraltar (2-3) in a five-goal thriller. This could be more worrying for the crowd at Kybunpark, despite the visitors coming with no great stakes involved.

Crusaders have been conceding more goals on the road, though, and we don’t really feel they have what it takes to build on the unbeaten streak. We do expect a strong challenge but Switzerland are in a much better place at this point and should be able to outclass the rivals on the day.

We will thus back Switzerland to secure the points with confidence and going for a Home win to Nil feels like a generous banker bet at 3/5 with BetVictor, which has caught the eye of many big hitters already.
