Swansea vs Stoke Match Preview
Swansea made it back-to-back victories with a 3-1 defeat of Middlesbrough at the weekend as they seem to be clicking into gear. They sit 13thin the table and with nine points between them and sixth the play-offs are beyond them. A strong end to the season is possible with just two of their remaining seven against top 12 opponents.
At the Liberty Stadium, the Swans are flying with four successive league victories and no defeat in the last seven. The Welsh outfit have scored 12 times in their last five in front of their own fans and six in the last two alone. Eight of their last nine home goals have come from different players.
Stoke are finally showing signs of clicking under Nathan Jones who has them unbeaten in nine now with seven of these ending in a draw. It is now six successive clean sheets and just two conceded in their last nine. Peter Etebo has grabbed two of the last three goals for the Staffordshire outfit.
Away from the BET365 Stadium, the Potters are unbeaten in their last five with four of these having finished all-square. These last five matches on the road in the league have produced a combined total of just three goals. In just one of their last ten on their travels have they netted a goal in the second 45 minutes.
Both sides are playing well at the moment and the pair will be optimistic about an even better season in 2019/20. Swansea did well for us at the weekend by beating Middlesbrough but Stoke are dogged opponents and as such I would swerve the match markets.
The Potters will look to make life as difficult as possible for the Swans for as long as possible and with no goal conceded in six their defence will be tough to break down. Backing the game to be level at half-time looks the best option while a small interest on 0-0 in the half-time correct score market appeals.
