Swansea won 2-1 at Charlton in midweek to put to an end a three-game winless run and to move top of the Championship. They sit one point ahead of Leeds and it has been a great start to management in the Championship for Steve Cooper.
At the Liberty Stadium, the Swans started by winning their first three games but in the last two lost to Forest and only drew with Reading. After netting eight in their first three at home they have grabbed just one in their last two.
Stoke continued their miserable start to the season going down to their eighth defeat of the season against previously winless Huddersfield. You have to feel that no matter what the result here Nathan Jones might be gone with the two-week gap for the international break offering the club a good chance to find a replacement.
Away from the Bet365 Stadium, the Potters have played four lost three and drew one which came at Brentford on their last road trip. They have netted just three times away from home this campaign while conceding eight times.
The Welsh side have had a few stutters in recent weeks but they can go into the international break with all three points by seeing off a woeful Stoke side. It is a shock that Nathan Jones is still in the role and you suspect the players also think he is a dead man walking.
Andre Ayew scored in midweek for the Swans against Charlton and while he is not a prolific scorer he does look value to net here. His pace could be an issue for a leaky Stoke defence while confidence is such a vital part of the game for the Ghanain.
