Swansea vs Hull Match Preview
Swansea had a good Easter as they made it two victories from two games with a 4-3 victory over Rotherham followed by a 1-0 success at Ipswich. It means they moved into tenth and with three matches to play and five points between them and the play-offs they still have a slim chance. After this they have a home game in midweek with Derby followed by a last day visit to Blackburn.
At the Liberty Stadium, the Swans are flying with six successive league victories and no defeat in the last nine. The Welsh outfit have scored 19 times in their last seven in front of their own fans and 13 in the last four alone. Ollie McBurnie has four goals from his last three appearances in front of his own fans.
Hull had a disappointing Easter as a 3-2 defeat at West Brom and a 3-0 home loss to Sheffield United ended their postseason dream. They sit in 13th and have lost each of their last three fixtures. Nigel Adkins will know he has a job on his hands this summer to keep his key players.
Away from the KC Stadium, the Tigers have lost seven of their last eight and the only win in nine came at Ipswich. They have kept just one clean sheet from their last ten on the road and that came against the bottom-placed side. In three of their last four on their travels they have scored exactly two goals.
Swansea should win this fixture as their home form is so strong and they are against a side so poor on the road. The issue is trying to find an angle into the match and it might be worth taking the home side to be ahead at half-time and again at full-time as this has paid in three of their last four here and six of the last eight on the road for the Tigers.
Ollie McBurnie has three from his last two appearances at the Liberty Stadium and we think he looks value to net at any time here against a Hull side leaking badly on their travels.
