Swansea vs Derby Match Preview
Swansea saw their play-off hopes slip away as they managed to let a two-goal lead at home to Hull fall off and only drew 2-2. That coupled with a victory for Derby means they are seven points behind and can not catch them. The Welsh side are in good form having won five, drawn one and lost just one of their last seven.
At the Liberty Stadium, the Swans are flying with six victories in their last seven and no defeat in the last ten. Ollie McBurnie has six goals from his last four appearances in front of his own fans. Only five sides have scored more home Championship goals this campaign than the 41 Swansea have netted.
Derby are in sixth following a 2-0 road success at Bristol City and know that the chance to finish in the play-offs is now in their own hands. They are on the same points as Middlesbrough with a six-goal advantage and have a game in hand. It means that victory in one of their two remaining matches should be enough for a top-six finish.
Away from Pride Park, the Rams victory at Bristol City put to an end a run of eight without a victory on their travels. Jayden Bogle and Harry Wilson both have two goals from their last four appearances on the road. Their last five away from their own place have seen a combined total of 18 which is an average of over three per game.
The visitors know that if they win one of their last two matches they will be confirmed in the play-offs (unless Boro can pull back a six-goal deficit). That does not mean they are the value here and a home side who have no defeat in their last ten here are being overlooked. We like the Swans in the draw no bet market to come out on top here.
Ollie McBurnie grabbed a brace in the 2-2 draw at Hull and he looks well priced to net at any time here to add to his tally of six goals from his last four at the Liberty Stadium.
