Swansea vs Brentford Match Preview
Swansea have lost four four straight in all competitions and three straight when just looking at the Championship. The Welsh outfit can consider themselves unlucky losing 2-1 to Nottingham Forest as the expected goals data and match reports indicate they were better than their East Midlands opponents. It means that they sit in 15th in the table but are in no danger of going down this season.
At the Liberty Stadium, the Swans are a strong side going unbeaten in their last five with three of these ending in a victory. They are also tough to break down as three of the last four they have played in front of their own fans has seen them keep a clean sheet. Ollie McBurnie enjoys home comforts having netted five in his last four here.
Brentford put an end to a run of back-to-back defeats last time out with a goalless draw at Wigan but they are still three without a victory. They sit in 13th but are now nine points behind Derby in sixth and have played the same number of games as them.
Away from Griffin Park, the Bees have lost three of their last five and have won on just two occasions this season. The London outfit have failed to fire in each of their last two and three of their previous four on the road. Four of their last five on their travels have seen a total of two or three goals scored.
Bookmakers are struggling to split the pair and while we think there is little to choose between the sides we think home advantage should make Swansea a shorter price. Throw in the fact that the hosts have already beaten Brentford twice this season and we like them here in the draw no bet market.
Neither side are banging in the goals and the Welsh outfit have won two of the last four at the Liberty Stadium by the same scoreline of 1-0. Given the visitors are proving difficult to break down but I think the home team are slightly stronger that looks worth a correct score interest.
