Brentford travel to Swansea in a good mood after beating Aston Villa (1-0) midway through the week with a last-minute winner from Neal Maupay, hoping to build on the streak and bag their fourth win in five outings across competitions.
Bees have been more successful in front of the home fans but still bagged thriller wins over Blackburn Rovers (5-2) and Barnet (3-1) beforehand, only suffering a 2-1 loss at Nottingham along the way. The loss only ended a four-match unbeaten streak on the road for Thomas Frank’s men too, which should have them motivated to cause an upset at Liberty Stadium as well.
Swansea have been a very tough side to beat here, though, and while they come into the match amid an unpredictable spell of form – we’ve seen them hold Birmingham to a 3-3 draw and beat Millwall (1-0) along the way. They’ve struggled for such consistency on the road and will now surely want to untangle this one on Sunday.
Swans have been conceding more goals recently and this will be more worrying for Graham Potter but it also promises an exciting FA Cup contest, as his men try to build on a 2-3 win at Griffin Park earlier this term and a five-match winning streak in head-to-head clashes.
