Swansea City vs Sheffield United Match Preview

Swansea have a strong home record against Sheffield United and look to be in good enough form to dent their opponents’ bid for automatic promotion from the Championship.

Going into match week 28 and all clubs having played their full complement of games, United were second in the table, four points behind leaders Leeds, and currently in excellent form (see stats above) barring their shock FA Cup exit to National League club Barnet.

But the Blades have not won in Swansea for 61 years and the Welsh team’s own recent results suggest they can deal a setback to their visitors’ hopes of going up to the Premier League this term.

Graham Potter’s side are in their best form since the very start of the campaign and have already tasted success by a three-goal margin away from home twice in 2019 at Reading and then Aston Villa in the FA Cup, followed by a creditable draw at Preston.

It is taking all of this season for Potter to fully settle in with the Swans following his arrival from Swedish football, but they appear to be genuinely improving now and are worth backing at tempting odds to inflict another defeat in this part of the world on Sheffield United.
