Stoke made it back-to-back draws and five without a victory as they battled to a goalless draw with Millwall at the Den last time out. The result was their tenth match in the last 15 to finish all-square and a league-high 21st of the season. This campaign has been a huge disappointment for the Staffordshire outfit who were big spenders in the hope of bouncing right back but now must face cutting the wage bill this summer.

At the BET365 Stadium, the Potters are unbeaten in their last six with five of these matches ending in a draw. The last two played at this stadium have both finished 2-2 meaning a combined eight goals which is more than the previous six games produced (seven). Sheffield United secured promotion to the Premier League for the first time since the 2006/07 season when they were relegated under Neil Warnock. They are ending the season well with three straight victories and no defeat in six. United can still win the title if they were to win and Norwich were to lose as they have a superior goal-difference.

Away from Bramall Lane, the Blades are unbeaten in the last eight Championship matches with four victories and four draws. Six of the last seven the Yorkshire outfit have netted on the road have come in the first-half. They are proving difficult to net against on their travels conceding just once from their last six.

Bookmakers make Sheffield United strong favourites to win the fixture but the home side are difficult to beat at their own ground and while the Yorkshire outfit make all the right noises about wanting to win the title it is hard to know how much of motivation this. You also have to consider if it is still tight early and if news gets through that Norwich are a few goals ahead then motivation levels might drop.

We think a better angle of attack is backing this game to have goals with the last two at this ground producing four each. United have attacking talent capable of getting among it also and will play with more freedom following promotion being secured. Over 2.5 goals looks a decent shout while over 3.5 goals also makes sense.
