Stoke vs Reading Match Preview
Stoke picked up a needed three points in midweek as a Joe Allen brace and one for James McClean saw them defeat Luton 3-0. It is just one victory in the last four for the Staffordshire outfit which means they remain in the bottom three.
At the Bet365 Stadium, the Potters have won three of their last five but only game here this season has ended in a draw. Each of the last five and seven of the last nine league games at this ground have seen two or three goals scored.
Reading had Lucas Joao to thank for a point at Barnsley in midweek with the forward netting an equalizer 14 minutes from time in a 1-1 draw. It stretches their winless run to two and it is just one victory in the last five for the Berkshire outfit.
Away from the Madejski Stadium, the Royals draw in midweek stretched their unbeaten run to two but they have won just one of their last seven. George Puscas has four in the last four on the road including a hat-trick two games ago.
It is hard to trust Stoke at those prices but Reading are struggling a bit for form so avoiding the 90 minute match result mark seems the best solution. Each of the last five games involving the Royals have seen more goals scored in the second-half so this is the main bet.
An extra bet that is recommend comes in the anytime goalscorer market and James McClean looks great value. The winger netted in midweek and plays on the right of a front three and his price does not seem to reflect that.
