Stoke vs Preston Match Preview
Stoke host Preston North End for their Matchday 29 clash on the back of a 2-1 home win over pace-setters Leeds, hoping to build on the success and connect two wins in a row for the first time since early October.
Potters have been unpredictable and struggled to retain any consistency across competitions, which sees them sitting in the mid-table and failing to keep up with the top 6. However, with such a confidence booster behind them, Nathan Jones’ men should be motivated to build on it and the crowd at Bet365 Stadium will want it!
Preston have put an end to a lengthy winless streak of their own last week and we’ve seen them beat Queens Park Rangers (1-4) with goals from Stockley, Storey, Browne, and Potts. They’ve been scoring goals on the regular but struggled to make them count, which still sees them sitting five points behind the rivals ahead of the clash.
Lilywhites will now want another upset but Stoke seem to be in a better place at this point and they could be in for a very tough task here, as the visitors search for their third win in five trips. Potters will be desperate to keep track of the top 6 at this point and we do see them bagging the points.
We’ll thus go for a Home win here, which comes at 10/11 with Coral and looks great value seeing they’ve beaten Leeds here just last week. They’ll need to build on such performances and Nathan Jones should have no troubles lifting their team spirits.
We should be in for goals once again and with both sides finding the net on the regular, going for Over 2.5 Goals FT has been rated the best approach to the fixture at 6/5 with Paddy Power by many in the know already.
