Stoke vs Fulham Match Preview

Stoke picked up their first victory of the season ahead of the international break with a 2-1 success away at Swansea. It was enough to keep Nathan Jones in the dugout though three of his four next four are against teams in the top eight.

At the Bet365 Stadium, the Potters have played six and taken just one point this includes four successive defeats. They ship goals at their own place with 13 conceded from the six which is an average of over two per game.

Fulham twice fought back from behind to draw 2-2 with Charlton and although a home point might disappoint it does stretch their unbeaten run to six. They sat seventh going into the two-week gap just one point outside the play-offs.

Away from Craven Cottage, the Whites are unbeaten in their last four picking up victories at Reading and Huddersfield and draws with Cardiff and Sheff Wed. Each of these last four have seen both teams find the back of the net with the London side netting eight times.

The visitors are favourites to come out on top here and until Stoke do something at home it is hard to argue with that assessment. It is hard to know what to make of the Potters was that victory over Swansea a sign the players are still fighting for their manager or was it just a case of a good day at the office.

It is best then to look at markets that eliminate the home team and just involve Fulham. Eight goals on the road from the last four for the London side and against a leaky home defence indicate taking over 1.5 Fulham goals is the best bet while a small interest on them going over 2.5 also appeals.
