St Mirren vs Hearts Match Preview
St Mirren have seen a streak of four draws ended in a narrow 2-1 loss at Livingston and have busy week on their hands, as they host rock-bottomed Hearts for their Matchday 28 clash desperate for points to escape the bottom of the table just days after their mid-week FA Cup trip to Motherwell.
Buddies have proven themselves a tough side to beat at Simple Digital Arena and we’ve seen them beat Kilmarnock (1-0) in December, Broxburn Athletic (3-0 in FA Cup) in January, and held on to draws against Aberdeen (0-0), Hamilton (1-1), and Motherwell (1-1) in three outings since.
They’ll now want more of the same and host Hearts with a three-point gap as well as a game in hand, looking on to capitalize on the rivals’ unpredictable spell of form. Hearts come into the match on the back of a thriller 2-2 draw against Hamilton, as they completed a comeback late on and bounced from a 5-0 drubbing in the hands of Celtic.
Jam held off Ross County (0-0) and St Johnstone (3-3) in Premiership and beat Falkirk (0-1) to an FA Cup Quarter-finals ticket on the road beforehand, which does promise a strong challenge despite being caught all over the place at Celtic Park. They will be desperate to close the gap and we expect them in good spirits once again.
With that in mind, we’re sticking our necks out for the sides to share the spoils in Paisley and we’ll go for a Draw priced at 9/4 with BetVictor, which feels like more than just a lively longshot as both sides struggle to turn clashes their way at this point.
We have seen both scoring and conceding quite regularly and this does promise excitement at Simple Digital Arena. We’re thus also hoping for goals and backing a Yes on Both teams to score at 10/11 with bet365!
