St Mirren vs Hamilton Match Preview
Hamilton travel to Paisley for their penultimate outing this term, looking to secure the top-flight survival mathematically as they sit four points clear of St Mirren with two games left to play. They have proven themselves a tough nut to crack despite troubles to turn clashes their way and a point at Simple Digital Arena would surely be huge.
Accies held the rivals to a 1-1 draw in front of the home fans and extended a four-match unbeaten streak since, as they also held Motherwell (1-1) and Livingston (1-1) to draws at the Hope CBD Stadium and beat Dundee (0-1) on the road most recently.
St Mirren have enjoyed a similar contest as they snatched a 1-3 win at Livingston and held off both St Johnstone (1-1) and Motherwell (1-1), keeping hold of their chances to escape the relegation play-offs very late in the campaign. They have been scoring and conceding goals on the regular along the way, which does promise an exciting game on Monday too.
Buddies have still proven themselves a tough nut to crack and we now hope to see them in a good mood once again, very motivated to bag all three points and leave a lot to play for on the final day of the campaign. Do they have what it takes?
We don’t really feel so and we hope to see Hamilton build on their performance at Dundee early in May, as we no stick with them to snatch at least a point with a Double Chance – Draw or Away win at 8/11 with William Hill.
We have seen both sides struggling to keep it together at the back and with that in mind, we also expect goals as we back a Yes on Both teams to score at 19/20 with bet365. This would be the fifth such occasion for St Mirren in a row as well as the fourth in five for Hamilton, which does add to such a claim.
