St Etienne vs PSG Match Preview
PSG travel to St Etienne for their Matchday 25 Ligue 1 win on the back of a confident display and a great 0-2 win at Manchester United, where they built on their three-match winning streak after beating Villefranche (0-3) in Coupe de France and Bordeaux (1-0) in the league.
Parisians now hope to put on a similarly convincing display and bag the points at Stade Geoffroy-Guichard, with a ten-point gap at the top of the table to build on. They’ve struggled to impress on some occasions at this ground but it feels the rivals’ are going through somewhat of a crisis, which will have the travelling fans hopeful.
Indeed, St Etienne come into the match on the back of a narrow 2-1 win over Strasbourg, where early goals from Beric and Perrin proved enough for all three points and a return to the winning ways after four games without one.
Les Verts have seen Lyon (1-2), Rennes (3-0) snatch the Ligue 1 points and Dijon (3-6) knock them out of Coupe de France, only snatching a point in a 1-1 draw at Nantes along the way. They struggled to keep it together at the back and this could be more worrying even after a win over Le Racing on Wednesday.
With that in mind, we’re now sticking our necks out for PSG to bag the points in an exciting clash in St Etienne, as we go for an Away win and a Yes on Both teams to score at 15/8 with Coral.
We are making a case for a high-scoring contest and we’ll thus also back Over 3.5 Goals FT at 13/10 with BetVictor, as we hope to see the in-form visitors outgun St Etienne – who have already proven woes at the back lately.
