SPAL vs Juventus Match Preview
Juventus travel to Ferrara for their Matchday 32 clash looking to secure Serie A title with six games to go, just days after their Champions League Quarter-finals trip to Amsterdam. They come into the busy week in great spirits and we feel Max Allegri’s men will be at the top of their game even if we see a rotated line-up.
Bianconeri have beaten AC Milan (2-1) despite a somewhat underwhelming display in front of the home fans, extending a three-match winning streak even without Cristiano Ronaldo. They’ve beaten Empoli (1-0) and Cagliari (0-2) in two narrow occasions beforehand and now sit huge 20 points in the clear once again.
SPAL have, on the other hand, shown off as a tough side to beat at Paolo Mazza and sit four points clear of the relegation zone mainly for such displays. Indeed, they’ve beaten Roma (2-1) and Lazio (1-0) in two outings here since mid-March and despite seeing the winning streak ended at Cagliari (2-1) last week – we should see them motivated to cope with the pace-setters.
Leonardo Semplici’s men have been scoring goals here on the regular but struggled for defensive consistency, which will be more worrying ahead of the Saturday’s contest – where a loss could see them in the immediate danger zone once again.
We will still back Juventus to secure the points and celebrate on the day already, going for an Away win at enticing 17/20 with William Hill. We’ve seen them turning clashes their way despite no dominant displays and we expect more of the same on the day.
We do feel we’re in for a strong challenge from SPAL and we do see them making it on the scoresheet too, as we also back a Yes on Both teams to score at 11/10 with Paddy Power. Bianconeri haven’t been as consistent at the back and SPAL should be able to make use of the open spaces.
