Dinamo Brest were held off in a disappointing start of the new campaign as only Gaby Kiki’s equalizer saved a point against Smolevichy-STI (1-1) last week, now travelling to Slutsk in hope they can bounce quickly and make it their first win this term on Sunday morning.

Brestchane haven’t been as convincing as they would have wanted but still edged past Isloch (on penalties after two goalless draws) in Cup Quarter-finals. Sergey Kovalchuk will hope his men can still take confidence from it and build on their consistency early in the campaign – looking to get on the path in search of their second title in a row.

Slutsk have, on the other hand, beaten Slavia Mozyr (3-1) despite falling behind early on. Soslan Takulov levelled it late in the first half and Artem Serdyuk completed the comeback with a second-half brace, shocking the visitors and keeping hold of a great run we’ve seen in the final third.

Vitaliy Pavlov’s men have been confident through the pre-season and bagged four wins and four draws in eight outings beforehand. They will now hope for more of the same but we feel the visitors will be much more of a challenge, which has many in the know calling a very narrow contest in the making.
