Slovenia vs Macedonia Match Preview
Macedonia beat Latvia in a comfortable 3-1 home win on Thursday and now take on a short trip to Slovenia looking to build on the success, boasting an in-form attacking line and surely hoping to show it off at Stadion Stozice in Ljubljana as well.
Red Lynxes have thus built on a very solid streak across competitions, where they saw just one loss in 14 outings since September 2017 (4-0 in Armenia) and earned nine wins along the way. Igor Angelovski’s men should now be very motivated to keep building on it and promise a great challenge.
Slovenia have, on the other hand, shared the spoils with Israel as Andraz Sporar opened the scoresheet but Eran Zahavi found the equalizer shortly after, as Matjaz Kek’s men conceded a goal in their seventh consecutive outing – which could be even more worrying than their unconvincing streak of recent.
Indeed, they dropped from Nations League C in a group shared with Norway, Bulgaria, and Cyprus with just three points to their name after six games played – which gives a feeling a lot has to change in Slovenia’s dressing room despite La Liga and Serie A stars leading the lineup.
We will still back Slovenia to bounce back here and show off their character in front of the home fans, as we go for an exciting contest and Home win & a Yes on Both teams to score – which combines to an eye-catching 7/2 with bet365.
With that in mind, we’re now hoping for goals and we’ll thus also back Over 2.5 Goals FT at 27/20 with bet365, which has caught a lot of attention too as Macedonia enjoys an attacking approach and should do the same at Stadion Stozice. We’ve seen three or more goals in three of the visitors’ last four outings and we see this as further evidence for such a bet now.
