San Jose Earthquakes vs FC Dallas Match Preview
San Jose Earthquakes host Dallas for their Saturday’s clash on the back of a three-match unbeaten streak, where they beat Chicago Fire (4-1), Toronto (1-2) and built on the success with a 1-1 draw at DC United despite conceding on all of the occasions.
Quakes now sit just outside the Western Conference with a game in hand to three sides above them, looking to challenge for a spot as soon as this weekend. They’ve been rock-solid at Avaya Stadium and now also look for their fifth consecutive win here, as they beat Portland Timbers (3-0), Sporting KC (4-1), Cincinnati (1-0), and Chicago (4-1) since early April with some great displays in the final third.
Dallas have seen quite a contrasting spell of form and we’ve finally seen them end the unwanted streak, as they beat Seattle Sounders (2-1) to return to the winning ways after six outings. They’ve earned just two points along the way and building on the confidence booster will be crucial for them.
Toros have struggled to perform on the road, though, and this will be even more of a worry. They’ve suffered three consecutive losses with six goals conceded along the way, which makes it hard to capitalize on the goals scored and doing so now should prove just as tough a task.
We will thus back SJ Earthquakes to secure all three points and we’ll go for a Home win at 10/11 with bet365, which seems great value seeing the visitors’ woes on the road over the past two months.
We do feel we’ll see Dallas make it on the scoresheet, though, and Quakes should be forced to outgun them to secure the points. We’ll thus also go for a Yes on Both teams to score at 4/7 with bet365 hoping to see a real thriller at Avaya Stadium.
