Sheffield Wednesday vs Swansea City Match Preview
Sheffield Wednesday needed an injury-time goal to draw 2-2 at Rotherham and claim their third successive draw. It means they are sat in 15th and unbeaten in four as Steve Bruce looks to assess his options for next season.
At Hillsborough, the Owls are unbeaten in six winning three of these and drawing the same number. They have kept clean sheets in three of their last four at their own place and conceded just once.
Swansea booked their place in the last eight of the FA Cup last weekend with a 4-1 win over Brentford. In the league, they have been a mixed bag of late with two wins, one draw and two defeats in their last five.
Away from the Liberty Stadium, the Swans have lost their last two and taken just four points from their last five. It is seven without a clean sheet on their travels and their only one in the last ten came against Bolton.
Sheffield Wednesday are only slight favourites here which suggests that Swansea are a better team and I am not convinced by this fact. The hosts are unbeaten in six at their own place while the visitors only win in the last five on the road came at Reading. I like Wednesday with the security of the draw no bet.
12 of the 32 Swansea have played this season have gone under 1.5 goals and with Wednesday doing without Fernando Forestieri they are not exactly blessed with creativity so have a small interest on 1-0 to the home team in the correct score market.
