Sheffield Wednesday vs Stoke Match Preview
Sheffield Wednesday continued their recent good form with a point at Cardiff with a 1-1 draw though it could have been three as they lead until the 87th minute. It mean that Wednesday are unbeaten in two league games and have lost just one of their last six.
At Hillsborough, the Owls have played five times this season losing just once and taking maximum points on three occasions. No side has conceded a lower number of home goals than Wednesday who have shipped just three at their own place this season.
Stoke continued their recent up turn in fortune under Nathan Jones with a 2-0 victory over Fulham making it back-to-back successes. The result was fully deserved as the Staffordshire outfit produced arguably the best performance of the season to climb off the bottom of the table.
Away from the BET365 Stadium, the Potters had struggled early losing each of their first three but have picked up four points in their next two. Four of the five they have played on the road have been level at the break.
It is hard to argue with the prices on offer here given how strong the Owls have been at Hillsborough this season, but Stoke have shown enough signs in recent games that you would not be looking to take them on.
Wednesday gave away a lot of free-kicks around the box against Cardiff on Friday night and if so backing Joe Allen to net here could be the play. In addition, Julian Borner looked a real threat at set-pieces last time out netting once and sending another effort just over and he goes off too big to score here.
