Sheffield Wednesday vs QPR Match Preview
Sheffield Wednesday suffered only the second league defeat of the season last weekend as they lost 2-1 at Preston. They did bounce back in midweek with a 1-0 road success at local rivals Rotherham in the League Cup.
At Hillsborough, the Owls have won both fixtures this season defeating Barnsley 2-0 and Luton 1-0 both of whom are newly promoted sides. It extends a run from last season which has seen them win four of their last five here to nil.
QPR continued their mixed start to the season by picking up their second victory of the campaign seeing off Wigan 3-1. They did though suffer League Cup disappointment in midweek losing at home to League One outfit Portsmouth (2-0).
Away from Loftus Road, the Rs have won one, lost one seeing off Stoke 2-1 at their own place before going down 2-0 at Bristol City. If extended into the last campaign then it means the London outfit have won just one of their last 13 on the road.
It is hard to argue with the odds on offer here though perhaps the side of value would lie with QPR who are not that much weaker than Wednesday. A better angle of approach is to take the game to be level going into the break as these sides have combined for just three goals in the opening 45 minutes. This bet can also be extended to backing the game to be level after 60 minutes.
