Sheffield Wednesday v Reading Match Preview
Sheffield Wednesday have won their last two and lost just one of their last six and with a number of injured players returning could be tricky opponents to the end of the season. They have nothing to play for as they sit in 16th which has them nine points from the play-offs and 13 above the bottom three.
At Hillsborough, the Yorkshire outfit are unbeaten in their last five with three victories and two draws. Just one of the last five here in the league has gone over 2.5 goals with three going under 1.5.
Reading have drawn back-to-back matches and lost just one of their last four as they try get themselves to safety. They are still in relegation zone sitting in 22nd but they are just a point away from Rotherham.
Away from the Madejski, the Berkshire outfit are 11 without victory though three of their last five have finished all-square. Just one of their last eight on the road has gone over 2.5 goals.
Sheffield Wednesday are the most likely winners of the game but the price seems a fair reflection given Rotherham picked a point here a few weeks ago. Reading don’t yet seem to be firing in the goals that would make me side with them.
A lack of goals is the way to play this game given the Royals have blanked in five of their last eight on the road while three of the last five at Hillsborough have seen one team fail to find the back of the net. Under 2.5 goals looks too short but a small interest on under 1.5 also appeals.
