Norwich shocked Leicester (1-0 in Premier League) and Tottenham (on penalties after a 1-1 FA Cup draw) over the past seven days and they now travel to Sheffield hoping to build on such performances, desperate to escape the rock-bottom and try plotting an escape from the relegation zone towards late in the campaign.
Canaries have been very unpredictable and struggled to impress in the final third, with Teemu Pukki as their main striking force last finding the net back in January. They failed to score in three consecutive games beforehand, seeing a goalless draw at Newcastle and losses to Liverpool (0-1) and Wolves (3-0).
Sheffield United will now hope to capitalize on such troubles and end the rivals’ winning streak, boasting great team spirits at the moment too. They beat Reading (1-2) in extra-time of their FA Cup clash on Tuesday, where McGoldrick opened the scoresheet very early but only Billy Sharp untangled it after 105 minutes.
Blades beat Millwall (0-2), Crystal Palace (0-1), Bournemouth (2-1), and held Brighton to a 1-1 draw in four outings beforehand, capitalizing on a more lenient schedule as they keep up with the top 4. They sit just five points behind Chelsea and we’ll now surely see them very motivated to keep it up.
We do feel they should have what it takes to do so but we don’t see them keeping a clean sheet in the process, as we now stick our necks out for Sheffield United to secure the points and a Yes on Both teams to score at 11/4 with BetVictor.
