Sheffield United vs Arsenal Match Preview
Arsenal’s form is generally strong and their away results just about good enough to trust them to overcome an awkward trip to Sheffield United with a victory.
The Gunners have lost only once this season, at Liverpool, and although they were held in the Premier League at Watford and Manchester United, a resounding 3-0 Europa League success at Eintracht Frankfurt showed they have few fears about travelling outside of London.
Manager Unai Emery is getting players back from injury with defenders Kieran Tierney and Hector Bellerin available and Alexandre Lacazette potentially in contention for this game, so we may soon get more of an idea of the first-choice XI which, given the Spaniard’s rotation policy, is never easy to predict.
Sheffield United will be happy with how the first two months of their first season back in the top flight have gone, although their away results have generally been better than the home form.
A worry for manager Chris Wilder, however, is a lack of goals because the Blades have drawn a blank in four of their last five games, three of which were at Bramall Lane.
We think this will be a tight contest in which one goal may be enough to seal it, and it’s Arsenal who look the more likely team to break the deadlock.
