Sevilla vs Roma Match Preview
Sevilla kept hold of their unbeaten streak as well as the top 4 spot in La Liga in a thriller 2-2 draw at Atletico Madrid over the weekend, now hosting Roma for their Europa League clash in a good mood and certainly with great ground to build on. Julen Lopetegui’s men have been in good shape up front and we expect them very motivated to impress once again.
Sevillistas beat Osasuna (3-2) last time out in front of the home fans as in-form Youssef En-Nesyri and Lucas Ocampos led the line, which was their third win in six outings at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium – with three draws also on the records. They’ll now want an advantage ahead of the trip to Italy and we do see them making it happen.
Roma have struggled getting around Serie A schedule and with all domestic competitions now suspended, they come into the match with a 12-day break behind them. They have beaten Gent (2-1) in a narrow 16th Finals clash and Paulo Fonseca will want to take confidence from a four-match unbeaten streak.
Giallorossi have been scoring more goals lately and outclassed Lecce (4-0) and Cagliari (3-4) in a couple of thrillers in Serie A, which will be a great boost. They have been far from convincing away from home, though, and the fact a win at Sardegna Arena ended a four-match winless streak on the road will be more worrying.
We will back Sevilla to capitalize on such circumstances and we feel they’ll have what it takes to bag a win in front of the home fans, which comes at 21/20 with William Hill and could get them on the right foot.
We do feel we’re in for an exciting game despite high stakes and both sides’ recent records suggest the same. We feel Roma will be able to find the net in Seville and we’ll now also go for a Yes on Both teams to score at 10/11 with William Hill – which feels like a solid approach.
