Sevilla vs Leganes Match Preview
Sevilla host Leganes for their Matchday 36 clash on Friday evening looking for a return to the winning ways after another disappointing trip and a 1-0 loss at Girona, where 62′ goal from Portu proved enough for the rivals struggling to secure top-flight survival to bag all three points.
Sevillistas have been in better shape at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan and will now want to challenge Getafe at the 4th spot once again, after beating Deportivo Alaves (2-0), Betis (3-2), and Rayo Vallecano (5-0) in great goalscoring displays and goals coming from all directions.
Leganes will have plans of their own despite no high stakes to play for on their part but they’ve also seen troubles of their own lately. Mauricio Pellegrino’s men haven’t bagged a win in five outings and earned just three points along the way, struggling to score on the regular and failing to really capitalize on the ones scored.
Lega have thus seen Athletic Bilbao (0-1) snatch all three points and shared the spoils in a goalless draw against Celta Vigo over the past week, failing to find the net on both of those occasions. They’ll now be looking to end such a streak but we don’t see them making it happen.
We’ll rather stick with Sevilla to put on another confident display in front of the home crowd and we’ll go for them to win to Nil, which comes at 13/10 with bet365 and has already caught the eye of many in the know.
However, we don’t feel they’ll score as many goals now and with that in mind, we’re also going for a low-scoring contest in Seville with Under 2.5 Goals FT at 11/8 with bet365. Lega have conceded just four goals in the last seven outings and this has us hoping they’ll prove a tough nut to crack at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan too.
