Sevilla vs Granada Match Preview
Sevilla host Granada for their Matchday 21 clash on Saturday evening, just days after beating Levante (3-1) in Copa del Rey and making their way to the 8th Finals. They have struggled for consistency in La Liga but still sit 4th placed and now surely come very motivated to build on it.
Sevillistas have seen just one win (0-2 over Mallorca) in their last five league outings, beaten by Villarreal (1-2) and Real Madrid (2-1) since early December and only sharing the spoils with Osasuna (1-1) and Athletic Bilbao (1-1) along the way. They’ll now want more and rediscovering consistency at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium will be crucial.
Granada have, on the other hand, shown off as tough rivals to beat lately and they’ve been in a good mood early in 2020. They beat Mallorca (1-0) and saw a narrow 1-0 loss at Barcelona in La Liga, while beating Tamaraceite (0-1) and Badalona (1-3) in two Copa del Rey outings in the process.
Nazaries have still struggled for points on the road and the extra-time win at Badalona on Wednesday hardly felt convincing. They will certainly need more to cause an upset in Seville and we don’t feel Diego Martinez’ men have what it takes in search of a revenge for a home loss to the rivals suffered back in August.
We will thus back Sevilla to another exciting win in front of the home fans, going for a Home win and Over 2.5 Goals FT at 6/5 with Paddy Power, which seems like the best approach to the fixture at this point.
Still, we do feel Granada will be no sitting ducks and they should have a say in making this a thriller we expect it to be. With that in mind, we’re also going for a Yes on Both teams to score at 6/5 with William Hill – which would be the tenth time Nazaries scored at least a goal in 14 trips across competitions.
