Schalke vs Wolfsburg Match Preview
Schalke have been very unpredictable through most part of the campaign but they’ve finished the year on a high, still getting to the top 2 in their Champions League Group and escaping the immediate danger zone in Bundesliga with a 1-3 win at Stuttgart last time out.
Die Konigsblauen saw a 2-2 friendly thriller against Genk through the break and kept scoring numbers of goals, which should have Domenico Tedesco’s men very motivated in the final third again. However, beating the in-form visitors will be no easy task.
Wolfsburg come into the match on the back of a lengthy unbeaten streak, where they bagged seven wins and a single draw in eight outings across competitions since mid-November. They’ve earned 16 points in last six Bundesliga outings and Bruno Labbadia and his men promise another very tough challenge now.
Die Wolfe have beaten Vitesse (3-0) and Rijeka (3-0) in two convincing displays in early-January friendlies and there’s a lot to be happy about at Volkswagen Arena, as they sit just three points behind the league’s top 4 after 17 games – very eager to challenge for a spot this weekend already.
We do believe Wolfsburg have what it takes to hold off Schalke at this point and going for a Double Chance – Draw or Away win feels like a generous banker bet at 7/10 with Betway. We expect both sides very motivated to hold their own but the visitors seems to be in a much better place now.
Nonetheless, Schalke have been scoring goals and Die Wolfe could have to cope to snatch anything from the fixture, which has us going for a Yes on Both teams to score at Evens with Coral. We have seen both scoring numbers lately and this has been rated value by many already.
