San Marino vs Kazakhstan Match Preview
Kazakhstan have been strong challengers lately but have little to show for it as they travel to San Marino for their Matchday 9 EURO 2020 Qualifiers clash with narrow losses to Russia (1-0), Cyprus (1-2), and Belgium (0-2) behind them. They could hardly fancy their chances to make the top 2 cut but still managed seven points so far, which will have Michal Bilek looking to build on the tally.
Hawks beat San Marino 4-0 in front of the home fans and while they’ve struggled for such performances in the final third on the road, we feel we’re now in for another one-sided contest. They last bagged an away win in March 2018 (2-3 in Hungary) but the rivals should not pose the same sort of a challenge now.
Indeed, San Marino struggled to make an impact in Group I and sit rock-bottomed with no points to their name after eight outings. Furthermore, they’re yet to find the net and we’ve seen them concede a very high total of 43 goals along the way, which will be just as worrying now.
La Serenissima struggled to show more in front of the home crowd either, with very comfortable losses to Belgium (0-4) and Cyprus (0-4) seen at this ground since September. With their goalscoring woes and no real leaders in the final third, it’s tough to see them end the unwanted streak now.
We thus feel that backing Kazakhstan to snatch the points in a win to Nil comes as buying money for old rope at 4/9 with bet365 and we’ll follow in the footsteps of many heavy hitters as we go for it on Saturday afternoon.
Still, Kazakhstan haven’t really been able to score as many goals on the road and we’re now also going for Under 3.5 Goals FT, which comes at 8/11 with Paddy Power and looks like a solid approach to the fixture by itself.
