RB Salzburg vs Napoli Match Preview

Napoli travel to Austria for the return match of their Europa League clash against RB Salzburg with a three-goal advantage in the bag, looking to punch their ticket to the Quarter-finals with a similarly confident display at Red Bull Arena.

Partenopei have struggled for consistency on the road, though, and come into the match off an unconvincing 1-1 draw at Sassuolo, which was the fifth time they were denied a win in seven trips across competitions – only beating Zurich (1-3) and Parma (0-4) in two high-scoring clashes along the way.

RB Salzburg will obviously be very disappointed with their trip to Italy and they’ve struggled to bounce back quickly as Sturm Graz snatched a goalless draw at this ground over the weekend, failing to find the net third time in last four outings as Marco Rose looks for solutions at a troubled time up front.

Die Roten Bullen still boast a lengthy unbeaten streak in front of the home crowd, where they haven’t seen a loss in competitive matches since November 2016, and rightfully hope they can show off as more of a nut to crack on the day. They’ve only seen a seven-match winning streak ended over the weekend and Napoli could have a hard time ending such a series now.
