Rotherham vs Peterborough Match Preview
Rotherham host Peterborough for their Matchday 24 clash looking to jump the 4th placed rivals with all-important home points on Sunday afternoon, boasting better goalscoring records lately and hoping they can build on a great win at Shrewsbury (1-2) on Boxing Day – where Michael Smith netted the last-gasp winner.
Millers ended a three-match winless streak after seeing thriller draws against Southend (2-2) and Fleetwood (2-2), as Freddie Ladapo led an in-form attacking line. They have been conceding goals on the regular and this could be more worrying but there’s no denying Paul Warne’s men are enjoying the moment, especially up front.
Peterborough have, on the other hand, seen a comfortable 0-3 loss to Doncaster on Boxing Day and they now have to bounce quickly. They’ve struggled in the final third and failed to find the net in any of their last two, desperate to pick it up with six sides breathing down their necks.
Posh have been tough to beat on the road and they’ve held off Stevenage (1-1) in FA Cup as well as Portsmouth (2-2) and Bristol Rovers (0-0) in League One, which still promises a strong challenge. They’ve been scoring away goals quite regularly too and we hope they can find the net now as well.
However, we don’t feel this will be enough to snatch the points at AESSEAL New York Stadium and we’ll now rather back Rotherham to secure all three in a Home win priced at 11/8 with bet365, which feels like great value.
They’ve been in fine form up front and we hope to see the Millers outgun the visitors on the day, which promises an exciting contest. We’ve seen goals galore on both ends lately and we’re now hoping for more of the same, going for Over 2.5 Goals FT at 8/11 with William Hill.
