Rotherham vs Sheffield Wednesday Match Preview

Rotherham are without a victory in six though three successive draws is allowing them to keep alive their survival hopes. They fought back from two goals down to draw 2-2 at Hull on Tuesday night thanks to a goal from Anthony Forde and an own-goal.

At the New York Stadium, the Yorkshire outfit are winless in their last three and without a victory in eight. They have the third worst home defensive record in the division shipping 24 times.

Sheffield Wednesday stretched their unbeaten run to four matches with a 0-0 draw at Millwall on Tuesday night. With them being settled in mid-table Steve Bruce will use the next few months to work out his squad and plans for the next season.

Away from Hillsborough, Wednesday are unbeaten in their last two and have lost just one of the previous five. This built on a solid defence which has kept clean sheets in their last two road trips and three of their last five.

Sheffield Wednesday are favourites to win the game but Rotherham are tough opponents at home and as such I cannot argue with the prices on offer. Given I think the match could be low-scoring the draw would be the best value here.

Under 2.5 goals seems fairly priced but given how Wednesday approach these matches and with the last two road matches producing just one goal under 1.5 also appeals. I also think one or both teams will not score here so no in the both teams to score market appeals while backing either side to keep a clean sheet is also an option.
