Rotherham United have bounced between the Championship and League One in the last couple of seasons. After being relegated in ignominious circumstances two years ago, they managed to bounce back at the first attempt under the guidance of club legend Paul Warne. As was the case during their last spell in the second tier though, the South Yorkshire outfit will be swimming against the tide in terms of budgets and as such are always likely to be fighting it out towards the bottom of the table.

After a strong start and having looked very difficult to beat in front of their own supporters at the New York Stadium, Warne’s men have slipped perilously close to the relegation zone in recent weeks. A run of five defeats in their last six matches in all competitions has seen the Millers slide to within two points and one place of the bottom three so they will be keen to pick up three important points in this fixture at odds of 3/1 with Betway.

Brentford started the campaign in fine form and were looking like potential promotion candidates after the first couple of months of the season. However, has as been rumoured for quite some time, manager Dean Smith was finally poached after this terrific beginning to the season after moving back to the Midlands to take over Aston Villa. In his place, former assistant Thomas Frank was immediately promoted into the role of head coach.

It’s not been the best of times for the Danish coach thus far and his side no longer look like potential play-off candidates as they have plummeted to 17th in the table. Form does seem to have turned the corner though in recent weeks, with the Bees making the trip north on Saturday on the back of a six game unbeaten run that has included two wins in their last two matches.
