This will be the sides’ first head-to-head clash ever, as Roma come as obvious and heavy favourites to make their way to the Quarter-finals.
Roma host Serie C rivals Virtus Entella for their Coppa Italia clash as they return after a two-week break in hope they can build on a strong finish of 2018, where they beat Sassuolo (3-1) and Parma (0-2) in two exciting clashes with goals coming pretty much from all directions.
Giallorossi have struggled to keep it together at the back, though, and the clean sheet they’ve kept at Parma was only their first in 13 outings across competitions. They’ve been convincing in the final third recently and Eusebio Di Francesco will surely hope this will be enough for a comfortable win.
Virtus Entella have held Arezzo (2-2) and Gozzano (0-0) to draws since mid-December and beat both Juventus II (1-0) and Carrarese (0-2) along the way, which should have them motivated to put on a serious challenge ahead of the Serie A rivals too.
Biancocelesti have kept clean sheets in all of their last three outings too and while they’ll want more of the same now, it should come as a lot tougher task. They have scored nine goals in last five trips across competitions and we should see Roberto Boscaglia demanding the same in Rome, despite the difference in depth of quality.
We will now back Roma to turn another exciting contest their way and we’ll go for a Home win and a Yes on Both teams to score at 17/10 with Ladbrokes, hoping to see Virtus Entella build on their solid goalscoring records on the road as well.
