Roma vs Udinese Match Preview

Roma have finally ended their winless streak as they beat Sampdoria (0-1) with a single goal from Daniele De Rossi, catching up with AC Milan at the 4th place and sitting just a point behind the rivals in a chase to make the Champions League cut late in the campaign.

Giallorossi have been denied points by SPAL (2-1) ahead of the International break and Napoli (1-4) after it, only to share the spoils in a 2-2 thriller against Fiorentina earlier in April. They’ve been scoring goals but struggled to capitalize, which will have Claudio Ranieri very happy with a solid defensive display in Genoa.

Udinese have, on the other hand, bagged wins over Genoa (2-0) and Empoli (3-2) in their last two home outings and shocked Milan in a 1-1 draw at Giuseppe Meazza along the way. They sit just points clear of the relegation zone, though, and will be desperate to keep up such a streak against obviously shaky Roma.

Zebrette have largely struggled for points on the road and the upset in Milan was their only point in five trips in 2019, which will be more worrying. They’ve been scoring more goals lately, though, and will want to capitalize on the rivals’ inconsistencies at the back as well.

We don’t feel they have what it takes at this point, though, and we’ll now rather back Roma to another narrow win on Saturday with just a one-goal Winning Margin at 23/10 with Paddy Power hoping to see them escape a rock-solid challenge from the visitors.
