Rennes vs Lille Match Preview
Lille have secured the top 2 spot with a six-point gap to the 3rd placed Lyon as they travel on a tough trip to Rennes on the final day of the campaign, looking to end the campaign on a high and extend their eight-match unbeaten streak – where they bagged five wins and three draws since late March.
LOSC have been great in the final third and netted 13 goals in their last three outings, outclassing Angers in a 5-0 win last week, as Ikone, Pepe (x2), Bamba, and Luiz Araujo all found the net. They have had more troubles turning clashes their way on the road, though, and the home side will want to capitalize on that.
Rennes have shown off as a tough side to beat at Roazhon Park time and time again, now coming into the match on the back of a five-match unbeaten streak of their own – including a thriller Coupe de France Final win over PSG (on penalties after a 2-2 draw).
Les Rouges et Noirs have seen draws against struggling Monaco (2-2) and Guingamp (1-1) in their last two home outings and this will feel like less of a confidence booster, though, despite scoring numbers of goals on the regular. This also adds to the belief we’re in for a thrilling contest despite no high stakes involved on either end.
We will now stick our necks out for the sides to share the spoils in a Draw priced at 27/10 with William Hill, which has caught a lot of attention with many in the know as the sides have a recent history of such outcomes at home and on the road, respectively.
We should be in for goals and this makes it even harder to call but has many heavy hitters lumping on a Yes on Both teams to score, which comes at 8/15 with William Hill and looks like the safest approach to the market at this point.
