Red Star Belgrade vs Olympiakos Match Preview
Red Star Belgrade made it to the Group Stage for the second time in a row and will surely be motivated to do more this time around, after putting on some great displays but failing to make a real impact in a tough group last term. They have seen a tough 3-0 loss at Bayern Munich on the opening day in Group B, though, and will need more.
Vladan Milojevic’s men host Olympiakos hoping to bounce back and keep track of the top 2 early in the new campaign, coming into the match just days after their weekend clash against Macva Sabac. They’ve ended a two-match losing streak – where they also saw a 2-0 loss to city rivals Partizan – and will surely hope to build on a 1-3 win at Vozdovac.
Olympiakos will be no easy rivals to cope with, though, and they travel in Serbia in great spirits after holding Tottenham Hotspur to a thriller 2-2 draw in their first Champions League outing this term. They head into their weekend clash against Lamia on the back of a 27-match unbeaten streak across competitions and will surely hope to show off once again.
Thrylos earned eight wins and three draws in 11 competitive outings this term only and while we’ve seen them concede more recently, Pedro Martins should have no troubles lifting their team spirits ahead of the Tuesday’s trip. Still, snatching points will be a great task for them too we feel.
We will thus stick our necks out for the sides to share the spoils and we’ll go for a Draw at 47/20 with Unibet, which seems to least suit Red Star – who’d get a small reward for another tough challenge and would almost surely end up rock-bottomed in the Group.
We do feel they’ll have to score goals to do so, though, and we’ll now also go for a Yes on Both teams to score at 4/5 with William Hill. We hope to see both sides in a good mood moving forward and this should result in an exciting game at Stadion Rajko Mitic.
